I’ve struggled with ADHD my entire life and it definitely affected my mental health growing up. I always felt very different from my peers and “annoying” to my friends and family. This has led to feeling like a burden and constantly apologizing as an adult (among other issues). It’s so easy to think life is just that hard for everyone but that is so often not the case. If my learning disability was addressed when I was younger, maybe I wouldn’t have suffered long-lasting negative effects. MyCuraJOY would have been the perfect app for me to learn about my disorder and talk to someone about it instead of just living in silence and ignorance. Now that I’m getting my mental health straightened out [with a professional], I’m able to be the person I’ve always wanted to be, because I’m finally not just surviving, I’m thriving.
